California moves one step closer to becoming the first state to ban tackle football for kids under 12. There has been a striking brevity in the proposal. However, the California Assembly Bill 734, is pretty clear about the poll. According to the proposal, from January 1, 2026, any organization that handles tackle football will not allow any individual younger than 12 years to participate in the activity.
However, not many people are siding with it. Several significant online influencers have joined in on dissing the government. One such among them is the IFBB Pro bodybuilder, who is also a youth football coach. Here’s what Marc Lobliner thinks about the law.

IFBB Pro bodybuilder, Marc Lobliner, recently took to his official Instagram account, and shared a post on his wall, sharing what he feels about the new law that is to be implemented in California. After announcing the stated law, he stated that as a youth football coach, they teach children proper tackling.

At such an age they barely hit the ball hard enough to get hurt. The risk is rather graver when it comes to older athletes playing the sport, given that they can hit the ball harder. He further goes on to add how he has been training youth soccer for several years and has noticed that soccer is more dangerous than football.
The decision of the government to ban children from learning a sport when they should start training for it upsets him to the core. Lobliner wrote, “Do we ban everything with risk?” Sports has always been an integral part of Lobliner’s life and he repeatedly highlights its importance. He once even suggested a vision that states that youth sports can gear America in a different direction.

Bodybuilding coach Marc Lobliner once shared a post on his wall that said, “Youth Sports can save America.” He shares how he wishes that some of the billions of dollars were sent towards foreign aid to develop youth sports programs in the inner cities.

He further added that the funding received could then be used to hire strong men and women to coach them and that would help them learn discipline and teamwork. It will also give them some purpose.
