Mel was addicted to the unhealthy way of life, and she said she consumed, ?Mostly junk foods, very large portion sizes and lots of takeaways.??According to Body and Soul, Brown was raising two teenagers while working both permanent and part-time jobs, which took a toll on her health, and she needed to change her lifestyle.
Brown further stated, ?I had poor sleep habits, poor health, and was constantly getting sickness after sickness. The motivation to change her lifestyle came from one single photograph. She could not recognize the old Mel anymore, and that was when something switched in her mind.
After starting the CSIRO Total Wellbeing Diet and Exercise, she explained, ?I sleep better, have no heartburn, rarely get sick, and am the fittest I have ever been. I have run three different 50km ultra trail marathons, and I average 50 km a week running in general.?
