According to Daily Star, the super-toned mom was a huge fast food junkie when she was in her 20s, which is considered being the prime time for fitness. Laura did not even like exercising but after she had her daughter and became a mother, her perspective changed.

Heikkila was 35 when she realized that her body was going through a hard time and that she needed to change her lifestyle. The fitness icon decided to change her whole life and become a trainer herself. But hurdles do not stop, do they? In her 40s, came the time of menopause when she knew her body was changing permanently.?

Laura said to Daily Star, “All of a sudden I knew I needed to change myself.??She continued, “At that time, I started experiencing all these symptoms. I was around 48, and I just gave up for a while. I needed to know what was changing.?

Laura realized that she could not recognize herself and said, “It wasn’t me?I just didn’t look like myself. I didn’t like what my body looked like.” “I didn’t want people who knew me to see,” she explained. ?But I wanted other women to see the changes with me.” This is how her fitness journey was born and now 100,000 followers on Instagram look up to her. Just like her, a 65-year-old grandma is also defying age and stereotypes about fitness.

Lesley Maxwell, a 65-year-old pro bodybuilder, is changing the face of fitness with her journey. Having won over 30 competitions, she vouches for the fact that fitness has no age. Her enviable Instagram grid shows her aesthetic figure?and she shared the secret to her figure. ?I?m always asked how I stay lean all year round. Do I perform much cardio or because of calorie restrictions?? said Maxwell in her Instagram post while posing, wearing a swimming costume.
