Arnold Schwarzenegger moved to the U.S.A. at 21 to compete in the prestigious bodybuilding championship, Mr. Olympia. Soon, he started making a name and fame for his ripped physique on stage and went on to win 7x Mr. Olympias in the 1970s. During the same time, he met Maria Shriver and dated for a few years before tying the knot in 1986. The Kennedy Princess gave birth to four children with Arnold Schwarzenegger. 

Shriver separated from Schwarzenegger after she found out about his affair with the housemaid in 2011, ending 25 years of relationship. She recently appeared in an interview and spoke about how she had struggled with the biggest challenge of her life while being the wife of the very famous Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Arnold Schwarzenegger lived in the limelight for most of his life. The Austrian Oak stunned the bodybuilding world in the 1970s with his extremely ripped physique, massive chest, and boulder-like arms. Not satisfied with just taking over the world of bodybuilding, Arnie moved on to take over the Hollywood arena as a lead actor. 

Soon, his stardom rose as he was labeled the action superstar of Hollywood in the 1980s. His transition from movies to politics came as an unexpected move for his fans. However, his massive fan following didn’t serve his ex-wife Shriver, as she confessed to being invisible to his admirers. Coming from an affluent family, Shriver’s struggle to be noticed by people started in childhood.

 While speaking on ‘Making Space With Hoda Kotb,’ Shriver revealed, “I grew up feeling invisible in an incredibly public famous family.” Being in the limelight with the President of the U.S.A. and other elite members, she said, “You are background noise.” “I would find myself getting angry at people who came up and didn’t acknowledge that I existed when I was standing next to Arnold,” Shriver confessed. However, the affluent journalist now learned her lessons. In the same podcast, she revealed about her healing since the 2011 incident.

Maria Shriver found out about Arnold Schwarzenegger’s affair after she questioned him about the similarities between his child and housemaid Mildred Baena. When Schwarzenegger confessed to his mistake, Shriver decided to separate, ending the 25-year marriage. 

The path from there has been tough for Shriver as she started focusing on herself to heal from the painful past. “I did everything that was available that I could find to heal myself,” she confessed on the show before adding she is still on her healing journey.
