Bodybuilding fans eagerly wait for the Mr. Olympia‘s events to unfold every year. This year’s event has a cut-throat competition, with elite bodybuilders participating. As only a couple of months are left for the Mr. Olympia 2023 in Orlando, the aspiring bodybuilders are intensifying their training to win the Sandow Trophy.
The bodybuilding icon with 22.75-inch arms, Nick Walker, who hopes to lift the trophy this year, reasons why he believes he could win the 2023 Mr. Olympia. The 29-year-old appeared on the Cutler Cast to share his perspective about the upcoming event.

The Mr. Olympia is the prestigious event organized by IFBB every year to declare the best bodybuilder by felicitating with the Sandow Trophy. Many bodybuilders worldwide dream of participating in the Mr. Olympia event, and only a handful can ever lift the trophy. Over the years, the competition on the Mr. Olympia stage amplified.
This year, the competition can be safely termed as cut-throat, as the bodybuilders like the reigning Mr. Olympia Hadi Choopan, the 2023 Arnold Classic winner, Samson Dauda, Derek Lunsford, and Hunter Labrada, the son of Hall of Famer Lee Labrada are participating. Despite the fierce competition, The Mutant expects to win this year’s Sandow trophy.
Jay Cutler revealed that he focused on the unbeatable during his prime and posed whether there is “anyone unbeatable” for Walker. The Mutant sternly replied, “No, everyone’s beatable on any given day.” He further asserted, “There’s a lot of good guys you got Derek, you got Hadi, Samson, these are all good guys, Hunter’s looking great, but I believe in my own self.” Earlier, he answered a fan’s doubt with the same swagger.
Nick Walker deals with criticism with confidence
The Mutant had a troubled childhood and witnessed the darkest phases of life before he made it to the bodybuilding scene. Childhood molestation pushed him towards loneliness, and he found respite in alcohol and drugs. But he discovered his love for lifting weights. He won the Arnold Classic in 2021 and came third in Mr. Olympia in 2022.

But when he posted his ten-week-out physique, the bodybuilding icon faced backlash from certain sections of the sport. However, he commented about the critics and said, “I love it, I hope they keep talking lol.”
