Bodybuilders make a lot of effort to build a monstrous body. They perform hard-core exercises and eat meticulously. However, days after bodybuilding legend Jay Cutler revealed his dietary spending, 8x Mr. Olympia Ronnie Coleman also confessed about the money he spent on food. The common belief is that bodybuilders attain enormous sizes through the usage of muscle-enhancing supplements or steroids. There is no questioning that several bodybuilders have admitted to using steroids. However, food does play a huge role in maintaining one’s body.

A former police officer, Coleman’s video revealing the amount he spent on meals had gone viral. The YouTube channel, Muscle Mass Media shared the short video.

Ronnie Coleman was asked to eat more to get bigger

The 59-year-old said in the video that he used to spend around ten thousand dollars on his meals. Even after spending that much money on food, he was told to increase his intake. The legend used to eat six times a day.“I was spending at least probably $10,000 just on food. But once I started eating 6 times a day and eating more I used to eat like 10-12 ounces of food”. He also mentioned a couple of items from his menu like steak, chicken, and turkey.

Even after eating a lot of food six times a day, His nutritionist advised him to eat more to get the super giant body, and his suggestion shocked Coleman.“Then I had this nutritionist like dude you’re not eating enough”, I’m like what?” said Coleman. The nutritionist wanted him to eat more than what he was eating if he wanted to get bigger, Coleman said. ” He was like at least 4 or 5 ounces more than what you eating,” the bodybuilder added. According to Coleman, his nutritionist was right.

The bodybuilding GOAT found it hard to eat so much food

The King said that after executing this advice, he started getting bulky. However, according to him, “it was so hard to eat that much food.”  As he was juggling his job with bodybuilding at the time, Coleman had to wake up in the middle of the night to complete his meal quota. In one of his earlier interviews, he remarked that he hadn’t been eating pizza since 2007. This commitment and willpower toward his goals is what sets him apart from the rest.

Coleman has proven over time that with the right mind, anybody can achieve their dreams.
