The IFBB Pro took to coaching bodybuilders after retiring from the competitive sphere and often shares his immense knowledge about the sport on his social media. His latest Instagram post sheds light on Slow-mo reps that can amplify muscle growth.

Gaspari explained how to ace the workout in the caption of the post. “A slow mo rep is doing a rep of 5 seconds on the extention and 5 seconds on the contraction with complete control of the muscle with no momentum at all And having complete control the entire time doing your set,“ he wrote.

He also added the number of ideal reps for the workout and how the experience would be, at the time of the last repetition. He suggested choosing 3 to 4 exercises with a rep range of 10 to 15, moving toward total failure as one reaches the final rep. “You cannot lift the weight on that last set you do which you will need a training partner help you do that last set where you literally can’t move the weight,” he noted. Earlier, he gave insights into developing well-defined abs.

The Hall of Famer’s Ab training technique

The ab development is crucial while competing in bodybuilding events. So, the elite coach has suggested the best workout to develop great lower abs. While performing several reps of leg raises, the bodybuilding icon stated, “Leg raises are great to do for training lower Abs,” in his post.

Further, he added crunches and twisting crunches to the list of ab workouts for an overall well-defined mid-section. He also mentioned that training abs would improve core strength in the post.
