Arnold Schwarzenegger entered into fatherhood in 1989 when his then-wife Maria Shriver gave birth to their first child, Katherine Schwarzenegger. When it comes down to the personal life of the Austrian Oak, Arnie has been a loving father to his kids. From taking his children to his film sets to celebrating all occasions as a close-knit family, the 75-year-old ensures to play his part as a father well.

The eldest of all of Arnie’s children, Katherine Schwarzenegger, shared a picture of the Predator actor and her husband, Chris Pratt, as the duo pose with cigars in style. She captioned the image with an endearing message, “Happy fathers to day to these guys! We love you a big one!” 

Patrick Schwarzenegger also shared a picture of his childhood with his father in his Instagram story. In the photo, the young action star was seen baby talking to his son. Patrick captioned the post, “Happy Fathers Day.” Earlier the eldest son of the Twins star shared how his father gave him a haircut as a part of daddy duties.

Arnold Schwarzenegger ensured to nurture his bond with his kids after his separation from Maria Shriver. He is even proud of his and Shriver’s upbringing despite the turmoil in their personal lives. However, the kids were unhappy with their father while he was serving as the Governor of California.

The Pumping Iron actor’s children used to visit him on the sets of his action films, where they used to thoroughly enjoy the fight sequences and explosions. However, Schwarzenegger’s shift to the Governor’s Office changed everything. When they visited their father, who was then serving as Governor in Sacramento, they weren’t pleased with the administrative setup, as there was no fun associated.

Furthermore, Arnie’s busy schedule as a Governator didn’t allow him to spend time with them, and this led to the children complaining about their father’s absence during their special moments. “My kids would say, ‘You didn’t come to my recital on Tuesday!… Yeah, and was about my basketball game on Wednesday?’” opened up Schwarzenegger recalling his days as head of the state.

But out of all roles the bodybuilding champion played in his personal life, it seems a father’s job suits him the best. The 75-year-old also never stepped away from his responsibilities toward Joseph Baena, his love child. From gym sessions to bicycle rides, the duo spends quality time with each other, and fans enjoy seeing this side of the action hero.
