Mike O’Hearn, also regarded as the human Titan in the world of bodybuilding, stands tall as a testament to the potential for age-defying prowess. Even at the age of 54, The Titan looks ageless with a perfectly sculpted ripped physique.

However, he is just among the few exceptions. When we have often seen that in the realms of sport, people often start losing their shape, no matter how hard they have worked due to their growing age. Mike O’Hearn shed light on the reason why.

Mike O’Hearn recently took to his official YouTube Channel and shared yet another fascinating video for the series ‘Titan Q&A’. While answering the questions, O’Hearn replies to a gym-goer who has been deeply inspired by his Content as he grew up. Mike O’Hearn then goes on to explain why people lose their shape as they age.

He starts by saying, “When I was 20, when I was actually 14 15 I was looking at the magazines at Lee Haney and Arnold Schwarzenegger, these elders that I was watching what they were doing.” He states that mostly when you go back to the guys who were super jacked in their 20s and no longer in that shape in their 30s, it’s because of the lack of knowledge.

He further adds, “Most are jacked at 20, um, and still jacked in 30s, but the fall off at 40 is tremendous and then the fall off the 50s is even more tremendous and so on.” He follows his idols like Robbie Robinson, following what he does, eats to know where he can see himself standing in the next thirty years. O’Hearn goes on to answer another very interesting question in the video.

Mike O’Hearn on the importance of flexibility

Going further ahead of the video, The Titan is asked whether he focuses on his flexibility, splits, etc, and how it benefitted him in his muscle development. To this, Mike O’Hearn answers, “Yes it does. Obviously, the longer your muscle and more healthier muscle, yet bigger your muscle can get no more round, it can get from top to bottom.”

He further discusses the significance of stretching as a fundamental element of bodybuilding. It contributes to muscle flexibility, promotes fiber health, and maintains fascia openness, all of which play a role in muscle growth.
