Mike O’Hearn advocates heavier weightlifting

In his latest short video, he said “Please do not run away from the heavier weights”, he also added, “But keep some range at least for the first exercise around six to eight and go heavy for that rep range”, He urged fitness enthusiasts not to shy away from lifting heavier weights, clarifying that he wasn’t advocating for extreme singles or maximal lifts. Instead, he advised keeping the rep range around six to eight for the first exercise and focusing on challenging the body within this range. he underscored that subjecting the body to controlled stress through heavier weights aids in retaining muscle mass during the fat-loss phase.

“I wish I did more of as a young teenage bodybuilder that it took me to realize don’t run away for heavier weights maintain the body stress the body so it retains the muscle,” O’Hearn explained.
