The prestigious Olympia 2023 wrapped up, declaring Derek Lunsford as the shining star of the two different divisions. While Lunsford came out on top, Choopan had to accept the defeat, though he could not stop himself from storming off the stage angrily. Despite all these heartbreaking turns of events, the bodybuilding legend with a beast-looking body still makes the headlines as the crowd-pleaser.

Jam-packed roads of Iran are proof of Hadi Choopan’s immense fame and popularity. People flooded the streets; they came out in large numbers on the roads to give a warm welcome to Choopan on his homecoming. It must have been a proud moment for the bodybuilding champ as soon as he landed in his home country. Seeing the unwavering support of his fans, he took to his Instagram account and shared these impossible-to-forget moments of his life.

The Persian Wolf gets fans love on returning home 

In a recent Instagram post, Hadi Choopan uploaded a video in which his fans can be witnessed cheering for him as he returned home. Along with a video, The Persian Wolf also wrote a caption that demonstrates his fighting spirit.  The caption said, “I endure hardships to share happiness with my fans And this beauty is worthy of the champion of Mr. Olympia👍”

Even though he missed the chance to lift the SANDOW trophy this year, the massive support and love of fans seem to be enough for him to fight an uphill battle next time in Olympia. Seeing the smile on his face after being surrounded by fans, it can be said that the legend has not given up on his dream. Instead, he seems to have had unrevealed plans and goals ahead in life.

Fans take Hadi Choopan’s defeat to heart

Several fans expected Hadi Choopan to come out victorious at Olympia 2023. Choopan’s fans expected him to become a two-time Mr. Olympia champion as he captivating physique with well-developed mass and muscles. However, things did not go the way Choopan’s fans expected.

Expressing his opinion, one of his fans wrote, “Hadi was robbed with, and I really wanted Derek to win but nah man Hadi was a lot better.” 

Giving immense support to Choopan, another fan wrote, “Shameful Robbery,” 

Calling out the open category results, a die-hard fan of former Mr. Olympia wrote, “Robbed, shame on you Mr. Olympia.”

“Derek was great but Hadi was much better and Olympia was Hadi’s right” expressed another user.

While his fans supported him immensely, some Instagram users considered Choopan’s act of leaving the stage disrespectful. One of the users commented, “Hadi leaving the stage that way was disrespectful,” 

However, the amount of prize money each bodybuilder won was incredible. Derek Lunsford took home a cash prize of $400,000 while Hadi Choopan was given a cash prize of $150,000. Samson Dauda, who secured 3 places got $100,000. Brandon Curry and Andrew Chinedu Obiekea, in the fourth and fifth places, won $80,000 and $50,000 each respectively.
