Nowadays, social media has taken over everyone?s lives.? Likes and followers on social media are prime markers of a person’s status. During the golden era of bodybuilding, there was nothing like the Internet or social media that would increase the followers of bodybuilders. Yet the most number of veteran and legendary bodybuilders like Arnold Schwarzenegger Dorian Yates and Frank Zane came out of the Golden Era. Social media can be used for a good cause just like Joey Swoll uses it but today?s generation is obsessed with something insidious.

Swoll pointed out the farce of fame and social media in today?s generation. He spoke about something that is far more important than being famous on social media. Let?s find out what it is.

In a short Instagram reel by ‘Dragon?s Lair’ podcast, the CEO of gym Positivity who always advocates against toxic gym behavior, and calls out the people who do it, talked about social media. The athlete, entrepreneur, and fitness model explains how gaining more followers on social media does not equate to a good life or being a good human being.

He asked astonished, ?When did it become ?I?m better than you because I have more followers than you? When did that become a thing? How does having followers equate to you having a good heart and a good soul doing acts of kindness? Being somebody that simply is a good human…?

He also gave a huge reality check to the younger generation who are obsessed with the number of followers they have. He said an eye-opening comment, ? Listen man fame isn?t real.?

Swoll also explained that there are things that are real for instance, being a good human being, and having good values. Using social media for a good cause like he does, and helping people is real. The fitness model also admitted that being famous on social media, or any platform is a blessing and a responsibility.

Swoll is a glowing example of being a good human being because he uses his social media clout for a good cause. He advocates for gym positivity and always calls out those people who disrespect other humans.

Swoll was already a victim of bullying when he was a kid because of his skinny stature. The start of his rebellion against body shaming had started from a young age already. However, his decision to become a full-time advocate for gym positivity was due to a particular incident.

He previously revealed the reason for his journey as the CEO of gym? Positivity. ?I saw a video of a young woman making fun of a kid at the gym it just I was like enough is enough,? set the social media fitness bodybuilder.

He also revealed that he was always an advocate for gym positivity. ?Many people come up to me and say things like Joey I love the new you,? he opened and revealed, ?This isn?t a new me I just haven?t been vocal about this type of stuff on social media.?
