Being a bodybuilding athlete is not easy with all the rigorous exercises and diets. It is also a mental game where one needs to have a lot of self-control and abstain from some favorite foods that might be harmful to a body getting ready for the Olympias. The King Ronnie Coleman who became Mr Olympia 8 times knows all the sacrifices you need to make to be at the top.

The OG bodybuilder recently shared some of his memories in the bodybuilding world and his favourite meals after he won the contest. The Iced Coffee Hour saw the King narrate his experiences in the bodybuilding world and his life is one rollercoaster ride.

Ronnie Coleman hates McDonald’s

Coleman was speaking about how bodybuilding is more famous in America than in other countries. When the duo asked him why this was the case, Coleman answered that in other countries, there were bodybuilders, but the industry was not that famous. Another reason was also because America had more amounts of obesity and an unfit lifestyle.

Coleman said that in other countries like China, every person was chiseled and had a fit body. This led to the conversation of school lunches where according to Graham and Selby, the schools in America gave processed foods whereas in France they gave healthy food. They asked Coleman if he loved McDonald’s and he said not anymore but he used to.

They asked, “When was the last time you had McDonalds?” The King answered, “Probably when I won the Olympia.” The last Olympia he won was in 2005 and that means he has not eaten a McDonald’s for 18 years. Graham Stephan and Jack Selby were shocked. Coleman then told them that his cheat meal after Olympia was from the $195 billion food outlet. He said, “That’s my go-to meal after every Olympia.” Coleman swears by pizzas from Dominoes as well, and his rival Cutler never even touched KFC.

Ronnie Coleman and Jay Cutler differed on their food taste 

In an archived video which was shared by @musclemindmedia Cutler shared that diet was just a means to an end for him. “I just eat for fuel,” said Cutler. Ronnie Coleman was a huge lover of pizza but his rival was scared to try KFC.

Cutler felt scared that he might like the chicken too much and it would ruin his diet. Ronnie Coleman too, changed his diet after entering the bodybuilding arena. This dedication from the men is unparalleled.
