Bodybuilding is a sport like every other athletic sport in which age plays a crucial role, and Cutler knows all about the comments that athletes need to face due to age. Even if athletes are 60, like Dorian Yates, they can maintain a body as fit as a 30-year-old, so age does not matter that much. However, in the limelight, it does.

Cutler?recently addressed this issue in his YouTube video about stepping outside of his comfort zone. Cutler was candid about how the industry sees age and at what age they consider the athlete to be ?old?.

Cutler started the video by talking about age and the age at which he looked the best. He was asking Dave about his past and his 40s when Dave felt the best. This episode of?’JayWalking’?was all about stepping out of comfort zones and reflecting on the past.

Cutler slowly delved into the age factor and talked about how bodybuilders are thought to be in their youth when they are 20. Then they arrive at 25, and the athletes are considered to be in their best shape, but as soon as the age hits 30, it is over for bodybuilders in the eyes of the industry, even if the person feels in their best shape.

Cutler said,?“It?s always been the age thing with me, like if you think about bodybuilding?”?He continued,?“Then all of a sudden, it?s like ?well he?s not in his prime yet, when he gets in his 30s you know he?s gonna be in his prime. People are already counting your years.”?This can be disheartening, but this is the truth that bodybuilders need to work against. Cutler had revealed earlier that he does not feel that his age is catching up with him and also revealed that there are not many athletes who can say this at 50.

Jay Cutler is as fit as ever at 50

The IFBB pro once said in a video, “I want to recap on this to inspire you to take better care of your longevity.” He stated that 50 is still young if only one takes care of their body. It is also important to be hydrated at all times, according to him, because it helps to keep the skin looking young.

Cutler also stresses?the fact that working out is essential to staying healthy and increasing longevity. Even when he does not feel like hitting the gym, he always makes it a point to go. So Cutler is defying the norms of age in the sports industry and proving people wrong.
