The importance of diet in a sport like bodybuilding is something that any supplements or compounds can’t fulfill. Eating enough healthy food consisting of required macros and micros is very essential for a bodybuilder. 4X Mr. Olympia Jay Cutler once revealed a bit about his diet and nutritional habits in a video during his prime years.
Years later, Cutler reacted to his old clip in his latest TikTok video. Cutler took his fans on a nostalgic journey back to his prime days and reveals his food habits growing up. He talks about his growing years spent on a farm and how this habit of eating clean ultimately helped him win several titles.

Cutler’s parents instilled in him a habit of a balanced diet. With a plethora of fresh vegetables and nutrients at his doorstep that only farm-fresh produce can offer, Jay was accustomed to such a diet. “[I] was never allowed to eat poorly,” Cutler wrote in the caption of his video. Reacting to the clip, he explained, “Talking about my upbringing…we are from the farm and we grew vegetables and a lot of stuff from our gardens.”
The video also saw Cutler stating, “Used to cook the chicken out on the grill. Just tasted better.” Agreeing with his earlier said statement, Cutler said, “Everyone knows plain chicken is not so good.”
Concluding the video, while looking at his old posing clip, Cutler revealed, “This is at the Gold’s Gym on Craig Road…this is like ‘06. It’s crazy, so full, almost 300 pounds here. Wouldn’t we like to walk in those shoes again?” Cutler has been retired from the sport for almost a decade now. However, bodybuilding is still deeply imbibed in him. In an attempt to bring back the good old days, Cutler is currently on his ‘Fit for 50’ transformation ahead of his 50th birthday. For this 12-week transformation, Cutler is relying on the same ‘breakfast of champions’ that he used in his prime days.
What is the breakfast of champions?
