Arnold Schwarzenegger has been making headlines with his latest performance in his debut TV series ‘FUBAR’. At 75, Schwarzenegger’s dedication to his craft is evident, as the Austrian Oak can be seen throwing people and slashing some hard-hitting punches in his latest project. But while the Terminator continues to astound audiences with his larger-than-life action sequences, the bodybuilding icon recently made a poignant confession about how age has begun to affect his work in the realm of stunts and physicality.   

The 7x Mr. Olympia champion is again in the limelight, as he opened up about the toll it takes on his body to perform stunts and action sequences.

The Terminator recently appeared for an interview on the USA Today YouTube channel. In the interview, while talking about his breathtaking scenes in FUBAR, the veteran actor revealed the struggles and hard work put behind them. He acknowledged that the demands of performing stunts are considerably more challenging now compared to 40 years ago, during his prime.

The iconic actor, known for his roles in action-packed blockbusters such as ‘True Lies’ and ‘Predator,’ admitted that his body experiences more soreness and recovery time is longer after intense action sequences. Arnie said that age has without a doubt, impacted his physical capabilities.

“I think that it is probably harder today to do some of those things than it was 40 years ago. You may be more sore the next day. Age definitely makes a difference,” he confessed in the interview. But Schwarzenegger is not one to let his age deter his high-quality performances.

In the interview, The Terminator also said he is leaving no stone unturned to deliver cutting-edge work in his grand comeback on the silver screen. Arnie revealed that he is trying every trick in his arsenal to overcome the barriers of age in delivering action scenes. He feels the key to making scenes believable on the big screen is rigorous “rehearsal, rehearsal and, rehearsal.” Schwarzenegger invests ample time and effort in practicing each move and sequence to ensure that he executes it flawlessly in front of the camera. 


Arnie also added that his physical fitness at the age of 75 is a major contributing factor to his success in action roles. He still follows a strict routine of cycling and working out daily to keep his body in peak condition. Arnold Schwarzenegger’s candid reflection on the impact of aging on his acting job provides insight into the realities faced by even the most iconic and talented performers. But despite all the hardships, the Chief Action Officer of Netflix has managed to captivate his fans with another brilliant performance.
