Derek Lunsford etched his name in the list of the very few bodybuilders who have managed to bag the title in two divisions. Well, with the constant hustle that he had been putting into his win, Lunsford was very confident about seeing it through. 

Derek Lunsford finally unraveled the secret behind his champion mentality. He has never let anything come before his passion to keep getting better, and wholeheartedly concentrate on the task. Here’s how he did it. 

Derek Lunsford only focuses on getting better

Bodybuilding champion Derek Lunsford took to his official Instagram account and shared a video demonstrating snippets from his grueling shoulder workout. In the video, he was seen pulling out an intense heavy rep of front raises, and well, the level of dedication that he has when he is working out is visible in the video.

He goes on to share that he hits the gym every day so that he can be everything he is capable of. His focus is so strong that he barely notices or keeps track of anything else that is going on around him at the time. He wrote, “No other thoughts or intentions come before the effort to get better. Music, no music, people training around me, or alone in the gym… it’s all the same.”

He finally adds that it is utterly important to put in your full concentration on the task that you are performing, and that is the sole way of achieving your goals. Well, looks like winning two categories this year was not the end of it for the champ. He has his eyes set on his next achievement as well.

Derek Lunsford’s next big dream

In one of his Instagram live videos where Derek Lunsford was going through the questions his fans had for him and replying to them, he was asked about participating in the Arnold Classic. Lunsford made no stalling comments and gave a direct answer, “Absolutely. Yes, I’d be at Arnold’s.”
