In a YouTube video by Inside Edition today, Iris Davis was mentioned alongside Al Pacino and Robert De Niro. The video started with the reporter saying ?83-year-old Al Pacino I?m 79-year-old Robert De Niro is making headlines for fathering children but they have got nothing on this granny?
The video further narrates, ?Iris Davis is believed to be the world?s oldest bodybuilder. At 79 this granny pumps iron every day. She is so proud of her amazing physique that she posts her unbelievable workouts on social media.?

The reporter asked her, ?What do you eat??. Iris answered, ?I have a very bland diet and I?ve been on it for the last 20 years?. If you fall within her age range and desire to become stronger, Davis recommends that the key lies in lifting lighter weights with high repetitions. She stated, “Movement and connection with the mind.” Moreover, she quoted, “When you?re doing it, you must absolutely concentrate and be totally focused 100% or you will get nowhere.”
Hitting 21 pull-ups and breaking the world record
Davis had gone live on television in Texas on her 74 birthday and hit 21 pull-ups to break the world record number of pull-ups that were done by someone her age. Iris is a true inspiration, and she proves that age has nothing to do with bodybuilding. Even then, she had won 12 National Physique Committee Shows.
