Regardless of how tough and strong someone may appear, the pain of losing a child is something that affects everyone deeply. Hafthor Bjornsson aka the Mountain of Game of Thrones, a few days ago, lost his daughter Grace Morgan Hafthorsdottir born Nov 8th at 21 1/2 weeks gestation. This disheartening incident showed that even the world’s strongest man is not invincible when it comes to dealing with heartbreaking experiences such as losing a newborn.
However, the Strongman and his wife are still mourning, but life goes on, and with broken hearts, they are trying to cope with day-to-day life. Recently, Bjornsson talked about how he was going forward with his life and shared an update about his current situation with bodybuilding fans on social media.

Bjornsson and his wife Kelsey Henson had earlier shared a carousel with their newborn, with a heartbreaking announcement about the loss of their child, Grace. Days after Grace’s passing, the Mountain shared a post with an emotional caption. In his Instagram post, he was lifting weights and attempting to return his life to a semblance of normalcy. He began his caption with, “340kg x 4 reps. Weights could have moved lighter if everything had been okay. Life happens and sometimes you lose 10kg and get extremely sick.”

In the reel video, he was struggling to lift heavy weights, which was an easy task before. Perhaps, the emotional baggage he’s been carrying makes it more difficult than it is. He further wrote in his post and explained, “My immune system broke immensely and I couldn’t eat my meals like usual and that led to some strength loss and loss in body weight. I’m back on track and I’m just trying to survive each day currently. Today was a good day.
