The newsletter that boasts over half a million subscribers is Arnie’s latest way to contribute to the welfare of society. He wanted to share the fitness mantra with the world to make it a healthy and better place. Apart from the exercise and diet tips with strong scientific evidence, Schwarzenegger’s newsletter shares inspiring stories of the village.

The latest edition shared, “Alzheimer’s Warning Sign.” The newsletter suggests that an early symptom of the onset of the neurodegenerative disease includes the loss of odor sensitivity. It reveals that research has recently established a connection between a declined sense of smell, loss of cognitive skills, and the onset of Alzheimer’s disease.

While mentioning the APOE e4 gene that was examined in 40% of Alzheimer’s patients, the newsletter added, “Those with the gene experienced a 30 percent greater decline in odor sensitivity about ten years before non-carriers.” Before Arnie took to his newsletter to discuss the alarming health concern, his son and ex-wife had already accumulated $3,000,000 to help people fight the Alzheimer’s battle.

Arnold Schwarzenegger’s ex-wife, Maria Shriver, has always promoted Alzheimer’s research and awareness. Their eldest son, Patrick Schwarzenegger, and Shriver started MOSH, a business that provides protein bars for brain health, in 2021.
