Patrick took to his Twitter handle days after Disney’s brand new fantasy-horror film, Haunted Mansion, flopped all over the world on its opening day. Although this might not come off as a surprise amid the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strikes, the actor had a suggestion to make.

The 29-year-old stumbled upon a post by Culture Crave that teased the news of Disney’s $150 million budgeted film going flop on its first day. With a collage of intriguing scenes from the movie, the caption of the post claimed that the movie debuted with a meager $33 million collection at the worldwide box office.

Moreover, Haunted Mansion earned a rating of 41% on the popular film quality-assessing site, Rotten Tomatoes. Despite featuring some of the greatest Hollywood stars like Jared Leto, Owen Wilson, Jamie Lee Curtis, and more, in addition to the epic storytelling, the film was unable to spark interest among the audience. Thus, Patrick pondered that had the movie been released around Halloween, it could have enjoyed a better fate at the box office.

“Why didn’t they at least push this to Halloween ..?” Patrick posed a question while resharing the post on Twitter. As a matter of fact, it was a logical strategy thrown in by the Staircase actor, as the movie’s theme would have added to the Halloween vibes around that time. On a similar note, he recently acclaimed another Disney movie.

While Patrick is about to release his own drama series, Gen V, which is a spin-off of the hit series The Boys, the actor is also quite aware of the other films rolling in currently. Disney Pixar’s Elemental grossed a massive $311.7 million box-office collection worldwide. Therefore, the news impressed Patrick, and he reshared the post on Twitter.

Owing to his interest in the film industry, Patrick wrote, “fascinating,” as a remark to Disney’s triumph. Moreover, the movie had also surpassed a former Disney hit, Encanto.
