The Strongman competition demands insane strength from the competitors. They perform heavy-weighted duties like pulling a vehicle, squatting massive weights, or bench pressing beyond limits to win a medal or trophy. Despite years of training, knowledge, and support, one cannot deny the risk associated with such weights.

Despite the physical struggle, the 6’8” Strongman beast won the World’s Strongest Man championship in 2011, 2013, 2015, and 2016. However, he decided to retire from Strongman competitions this year. His last event was Shaw Classics, and he won the trophy for his strength.

As the Shaw Classics just ended, the 41-year-old Strongman’s competitive career came to an end. While fans are finding it difficult to digest their icon’s retirement, Shaw has another sad update for them. The Strongman revealed that he tore his pec during the Shaw Classics. “During the Shaw Classic Weekend: The Strongest Man on Earth, I thought I had torn something in my chest,” he confessed. So, he is up for a procedure.

The Strongman Beast is seeking treatment

The Strongman fans are not new to the pec tear updates by their icons. Earlier, this year, Hafthor Bjornson tore his pec while bench-pressing 556 lbs. He kept his fans updated with his surgery and recovery and is now back to lifting weights. Brian Shaw is also walking the same path.
