However, the Austrian Oak recently revealed that his personal experiences with his daughters have helped him dive deep into the character of the series, FUBAR. 

Over the years, the legendary actor has delivered many iconic performances in Hollywood history. But his latest revelation about his upcoming Netflix series, FUBAR, sheds light on a surprising source of inspiration for his performance.

Arnold Schwarzenegger drew inspiration from personal experiences

One of the most intriguing aspects of this actor’s role in FUBAR is the portrayal of a parent struggling to connect with a rebellious child, played by Monica Barbaro. However, the legend said having experienced similar dynamics with his daughters, he could empathize with the character’s frustration and disappointment. Such experience helped him to understand the character better as he could relate to a lot many things.

In an exclusive interview with ET Online, Arnold said, “I think working with Monica was kind of like working with my daughters and I was always trying to imagine that because my daughters were very challenging,”. It’s no secret that the actor faced several ups and downs with his family. But that prepared him to delve into the depths of his character’s emotions and bring them to life on screen.

His on-screen chemistry with Monica was fueled by the real-life feistiness he experienced with his daughters, allowing the director to create a captivating and authentic portrayal of a complicated familial relationship. “There was this feisty relationship that we had and it reminded me a lot of my relationship that I have with my daughters.”, he told ET Online

In the interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Schwarzenegger said he and Maria are still good friends. However, in the trailer of his upcoming documentary, the bodybuilding icon confessed that separating from Shriver is possibly the biggest mistake of his life. He said, “It was very tough on my marriage, on my relationship with the kids. I have caused enough pain for my family.”

Overall Arnold’s statements revealed that he has accepted the downs of his past and feels no shame in acknowledging them openly. Fans must be eagerly waiting for the release of the series, to witness the new avatar of the Austrian Oak.
