Arnold Schwarzenegger came across Reg Park’s movie poster that inspired him to take up bodybuilding as a career. Soon, he started lifting weights and built a physique that earned him eight Mr. Olympia titles in the 1970s. Arnold Schwarzenegger shifted gears to acting and politics after retiring from the bodybuilding stage in 1980, but his love for fitness has been never-ending.

The 76-year-old started a fitness newsletter, Arnold Pump Club, to help his followers embrace a healthy lifestyle. To inspire them with an example, he recently opened up about how he had to relearn his fitness practices after a botched-up surgery in 2018. Now, Arnie was clicked in an arm bandage.

The Austrian Oak is known for his heavy-weighted duties at the Gold’s gym that helped him build a massive chest and 22-inch biceps during his prime. Despite retiring from the bodybuilding scene in the 1980s, he never compromised on his fitness quotient, given the action-packed sequences he had to ace in his superhit movies.

But his love for lifting weights can be seen in his will to hit the gym to pump iron as a 76-year-old. Now, he is determined to carry forward his fitness legacy by helping inculcate the same principles and enthusiasm in his half-a-million fitness village. And he does so by example. Recently, Schwarzenegger was clicked sporting a full-arm bandage on his right arm at his Beverly Hills office. He was wearing a grey shirt and black shorts.

According to Daily Mail, the 76-year-old underwent surgery for nerve damage in the elbow last week. But, the bodybuilding icon ensured to get his workout done hours before his surgery. Such is Arnie’s passion to get his daily dose of fitness capsules. Not even an open heart surgery could stop Schwarzenegger from getting prepared for a movie shooting within a couple of months.

“I woke up, and all of a sudden the doctors were in front of me saying, ‘I’m so sorry, but it was unlike what we planned,” he confessed about the horrific incident. But Schwarzenegger didn’t give up on his life and soon started from zero to build resilience as he had to shoot for Terminator 6
