The 4X World’s Strongest Man winner retired from the professional realm of the sport with his final blow in the Shaw Classic 2023 rendition. The 440-pound beast has been trying his hand at different sports since his retirement. From trying out the arm wrestling and grip strength challenge to putting in the effort to get into a completely new sport, the legendary athlete has indeed been making the most of his post-retirement. Quite recently, he has announced his willingness to participate in the realm of MMA as well.
Brian Shaw will make his MMA debut
The strongman beast Brian Shaw recently took to his official YouTube channel and shared a video, revealing his plans post-retirement. He said, “The sport of Strongman, it was incredible. I had a little bit of time to sit back and enjoy the moment, and think about what was going to come next for me.”

After trying his hands at grip strength, he was presented with the opportunity to try out MMA, which was completely out of the blue. Although he did not put in much thought initially, after a while, Shaw started taking it seriously. He added, “I did want to drop weight, so I was going to change up my training anyway. This is something that will force me to do that, and in turn, I also get to learn.”
He is all set to make his debut in 2024, desiring to become ‘the most dangerous man on Earth’. Brian Shaw says, “I’m really excited to challenge myself and truly figure out what I can do.” The fitness world is left completely in awe, seeing the same energy level in Brian Shaw for MMA.
