“Have you considered the timing of when you train your legs to go harder than last time?!” With this caption, Doucette emphasized the importance of timing in your workout routine. Just by following his strategic approach of hitting legs at the start of your routine, you can make a big difference in your progress.

“Training legs at the end of your split not at the start,” Doucette advised, debunking the common myth that recommends pushing one’s leg training to the end of a routine. Doucette recommended a leg push-pull or leg pull-push approach. This means hitting your legs when you have the most energy, both mentally and physically. The fitness influencer believed that this helps you give your best effort, leading to better results in building leg muscles.

For those with smaller legs, Doucette recommended scheduling leg training after a rest day. This gives your body time to recover and be ready for the challenge. He emphasized that it’s crucial to be fresh and fully recovered before hitting leg day, so you can “push harder than last time”. This approach not only maximizes your gains but your performance as well. Doucette had earlier shared his new approach to bulking. Let us see what that is.
