Vladimir Shmondenko aka. Anatoly took the online fitness community by storm when he surprised unsuspecting gymgoers with his strength. The powerlifter is deceptively strong for his size and blends into the background because he dresses up in overalls as a janitor. In his latest video, the powerlifter outdid himself with a comment he made after surprising two guys deadlifting in the gym.

The video started like any other Anatoly video. The powerlifter, dressed in blue overalls and carrying a mop, approached two guys. The bodybuilders were doing deadlifts with five thick bumper plates and one slim plate on each side. With the added weight of the bar, the fitness enthusiasts were lifting a considerable amount of weight with 12 total plates. However, Shmondenko shocked them with his strength.

The internet’s strongest janitor asked them if he could clean the platform. However, the guys weren’t stoked about getting interrupted and asked Anatoly to “do it fast.” So the powerlifter did just that. Shmondenko said he would move the loaded barbell a “little” so he could clean underneath it. The powerlifter walked up to the barbell and calmly lifted it without breaking a sweat.

The bodybuilder nearly recoiled in disbelief, seeing a guy half his size lift like it weighed nothing. However, Anatoly wasn’t done yet. The fitness community’s favorite janitor lifted it again, walked backward, and put it down in its original place. As the gymgoers stared in disbelief, he wondered if they were lifting fake weights.

This remark stunned them even more, so Anatoly clarified that he thought they were using fake weights because it felt too easy to lift 12 plates. While the powerlifter’s statement dumbfounded the lifters, the fitness community applauded him for it.

The fitness community might have a new nickname for Anatoly

The fitness community commented on how the strongest janitor cleaned the egos of the two lifters. “The guy said ‘Do it fast,’ and he cleaned his ego fast as requested,” commented one fan. Another fan also made a similar comment. “Bro thinks he will be the greatest ego cleaner,” he wrote. Nearly four thousand people reacted to the comment, suggesting Anatoly might become known as the ‘ego cleaner’ as well.

Others focused on the reaction of the two men. “Mans was devastated (when) he called them fake weights,” wrote a fan. “Killed them with the fake weight comments… love it!!” wrote another fan. However, one fitness enthusiast pointed out the weight wasn’t fake. “It’s not fake wights you can see the bar bending,” the fan wrote. This only makes Anatoly’s strength seem even more impressive.
