Bodybuilding icon Chris Bumstead’s partner Courtney King is embracing the joys and challenges of motherhood. Recently, she shared a significant milestone: her first solo drive since giving birth. This update comes shortly after she returned to the gym, marking another step in reclaiming her routine.

Since welcoming their daughter Bradley Shay Bumstead in April, the couple has adapted to their new life with a newborn. The early weeks have been particularly intense, with Bradley undergoing minor surgery as well as battling a respiratory virus that gave the budding parents a big scare. Thankfully, the baby is now recovering well, according to King.

In the latest Instagram story post, King shared her excitement about venturing out alone. She captioned a photo of the car’s dashboard and recounted the moments before stepping into the hospital while going into labor. “The last time I was in the car was 5 weeks ago when I was in the backseat making primal noises on all fours,” she recalled.

The former Bikini Olympia also mentioned, “This is my first time on the treadmill. I am not looking to ‘lose weight’ or ‘snap back’ whatsoever… This movement is more for mental sanity.” King explained that she wanted to give her body time to heal after giving birth to her daughter. She also revealed that it had been almost five weeks since she last left the house, so walking on the treadmill in her garage felt like a treat. “What I really can’t wait for is to lift some WEIGHTS!!!!” she added eagerly.

According to Chris Bumstead, King was thrilled to start working out again and return to her normal life. After such a long break, she is now anticipating enjoying her gym sessions and driving even more.
