Only days after becoming a father, Chris Bumstead might be taken for granted as a slacker who is not coming to the gym. However, the bodybuilder who now has 5 Mr. Olympia titles under his belt proved wrong with each of such notions after he shared a motivating video. Unlike other fitness influencers who try to explain to people to think ahead, Bumstead takes a detour in his past instead.

Bumstead has always taken Bodybuilding as a passion after his brother-in-law and ex-coach, Iain Valliere, probed his excellent potential in the field. Ever since then, CBum has trained hard. So hard that by the age of 29, he has achieved a lot more than what others might expect is possible in under a decade.

In his latest Instagram post, CBum shared a video of three clips. One from his childhood which transitioned into his preparation for Mr. Olymapia to his present form. The distinct differences in his face a figure throughout these three changes were absolutely visible and unbelievable at the same time. He said in the video, “The kid who started this journey, would never have imagined taking today off just because he felt “tired”.”

In the caption of the same post, the bodybuilder confessed how he does not feel like training his legs and hence he was thinking it over while sitting in his car. He wrote, “Me talking to myself right now really not wanting to go train legs (sitting in my car outside the gym).” Then he also revealed another motivation that might push him to do his legs is: “How often I do this and then have to remind myself not to be a skinny b….”

The bodybuilder has had several champion mindsets which has helped him push through the journey and win as many as 5 Mr. Olympia titles. He once talked about his present understanding of what makes a champion.

In one of his Instagram posts, CBum revealed how he knows he has talked about different mindsets with his audience but he also explains what makes sense to him at the moment. He stated, “Unwavering confidence is a lie..” He followed his statement by accepting that fears never go away and people should learn to deal with it.

The bodybuilder also talked about something he has always known about the champion mentality. More than trophies, Bumstead always believed in improving oneself. He said, “Champion Mentality is not about the trophy, it’s about having no quit. It’s about doing everything possible within your power to achieve your goals.”
