Throughout his journey as an influencer, David Laid has inspired an entire generation of fitness influencers. His popularity has also allowed the bodybuilder to interact with some of the greatest bodybuilders of our time, including Chris Bumstead. CBum and Laid first collaborated in 2021 and since then have become good friends. Good enough for the five-time Classic Physique Olympia to share some banter with the influencer.

Chris Bumstead and David Laid teamed up around mid-June for a stem cell therapy session. The duo documented their stem cell therapy journey in a video David Laid posted on his YouTube channel. In this video, the fitness influencer sported a full beard, and CBum approved of the look. However, Laid appeared clean-shaven in his latest Gym Shark video.

The reining Classic Physique Olympia didn’t really prefer this look. “I miss the beard,” commented the Canadian bodybuilding champion. However, it seemed Chris Bumstead wasn’t the only one who liked David Laid’s bearded look. CBum’s comment got over 10,000 likes and many fans also replied to his comment agreeing with the champion.

However, David Laid didn’t respond to Bumstead’s comment. Although Laid may not have kept his beard, the Gym Shark athlete is certainly looking more muscular. It seems the bodybuilder is back to training at full strength after his stem cell session. Chris Bumstead underwent a session for general longevity and to prepare for the upcoming Olympia, but the 26-year-old was under a more complex procedure.

David Laid visited Dr. Adeel Khan for lower back issues. The stem cell therapist had to put the fitness influencer on anesthetics for the procedure as he injected stem cells into the spinal region. Dr. Khan also explained that Laid’s pain was due to wear and tear in the lower spinal discs. However, this wasn’t CBum’s first rodeo.

Chris Bumstead has benefited immensely from stem cell therapy

The 29-year-old Classic Physique Olympia champion is no starter to serious injuries. CBum has torn his hamstring, one of his biceps in 2022 and his latissimus dorsi muscle in 2023. While the bodybuilding champion has tried all methods, stem cells have been the standout alternative treatment for Chris Bumstead. The stem cells have also helped Bumstead heal from the lasting effects of severe injuries.

“As a bodybuilder, I put my body through a lot of stress, a lot of inflammation, a lot joint pain…” said Chris Bumstead in a video that Dr. Khan shared. The bodybuilder explained that while he won’t be competing forever, he would love to live a pain-free life after retiring from bodybuilding. Hence, the June stem cell session is not the last time CBum opts for stem cell therapy.

However, David may take a little longer to feel the benefits of stem cell therapy. Maybe by then, he’ll please CBum by regrowing his beard.
