Chris Bumstead makes no compromises with his sleep
One of the most profound aspects of Chris Bumstead’s bodybuilding journey is his emphasis on getting good and sound sleep. The micro-tears that develop in the muscle fibers when a bodybuilder trains are repaired during the deep sleep stage. When the fibers are repaired, they are rebuilt stronger and denser than before. This is referred to as the process of muscle hypertrophy. This is why getting good and sound sleep becomes all the more important for a bodybuilder.

While it is recommended to avoid exposure to digital devices at least an hour before bed, it is a bit unavoidable in today’s era. However, as a solution for this, Bumstead opts for blue light-blocking glasses before going to bed. In his recent Instagram story, Chris Bumstead posted a picture of himself wearing his night glasses and wrote, “Night glasses come with me everywhere. Operation actually sleep is in full effect.”
