Bodybuilding icon Chris Bumstead and his fiancée Courtney King recently experienced a terrifying ordeal with their newborn daughter, Bradley Shay Bumstead. Just weeks after undergoing minor surgery, their baby girl had to be rushed to the hospital in the middle of the night when she suddenly stopped breathing.

Courtney took to Instagram to share the heart-wrenching experience. In her story, she posted a picture of Bradley sleeping peacefully, while she recounted the harrowing night in the captions. “We had one hell of a night last night. The baby girl was in the ER. Got home around 4 a.m.,” Courtney wrote.

King described the terrifying moment when her daughter, Bradley Shay, stopped breathing, turned blue, and vomited due to a respiratory virus. She further expressed relief because it wasn’t RSV. She said, “Thankfully, so we didn’t have to stay overnight to be monitored.” In just a few hours, Bradley Shay recovered and was able to go home early in the morning. As a mother, King felt her daughter’s pain deeply, making the experience even more distressing.

In the next slide, Courtney King expressed her deep fear and heartbreak. “My heart was so scared and broken for my girl. I was praying to just take all her pain away so I could carry it and she didn’t have to.” She acknowledged the challenge of being a new mom, dealing with her child’s illness for the first time. She found it extremely scary and stressful when her baby got sick for the first time.

King accepted that Bradley might face a similar situation in the future, but for them, it was a terrifying and painful experience and most parents would feel the same. The former Ms. Bikini Olympia winner acknowledged that the hospital’s staff took it seriously and took good care of her child. Although, she felt terrified but is hopeful and praying for her daughter’s recovery. King had also penned down similar thoughts during Bradley Shay’s minor surgeries.

Earlier, King shared an emotional update about her daughter’s health on Instagram. In a heartfelt post, she held Bradley close and revealed that on May 2nd, her baby had a lip and tongue tie procedure. King described the experience as extremely painful, calling it “the WORST pain” to see her baby in distress.

Bradley had been struggling to latch properly during breastfeeding, which led to the surgery. King explained that the procedure was essential not only for breastfeeding but also for Bradley’s overall health in the long run. Despite the initial discomfort, Bradley recovered quickly. She expressed gratitude for the support and shared her relief that the procedure could help her daughter in the future.
