Nick Best is a highly recognized?strongman competitor and also a world-champion powerlifter. All through his career Best has always outperformed his several competitions in his prime. The strongman has a career of 37 years in bodybuilding and fitness, and at the 2022 Official Strongman Games, Nick announced his retirement. The strongman with the International Federation of Strength Athletes world record still works out every day and lifts inhuman weights easily.

Recently, he uploaded a post on Instagram where he is lifting weights of insane amounts even after his nephrectomy surgery to beat cancer. The words by the voiceover in the video were interesting, so let?s take a look at what Best wanted his fans to know.

With ‘Akira The Don playing in the background, he started lifting 610lb of weight while doing Hatfield squats. The music was important because it was a piece where Joe Rogan was involved. Joe Rogan talks about discipline in the voiceover which is essential for any person in any industry. The words went something like this, ?The one thing that discipline does help you with, it helps you get things done. And when you get things done, and when you actually do things, you have more success.? The man who tore a lat muscle while lifting 755 pounds in a world record competition, does not have failure in his dictionary.?

Joe Rogan put it very simply and continued, ?You?re not gonna feel perfect every day. There?s gotta be those days you push through,? and that is how Rogan suggested that people can achieve anything. The video of Nick doing the crazy Hatfield squat with 610 lbs at the age of 54, is enough to prove that discipline does get things done. Best has not stopped hustling even after retirement and has plans ahead.

What are Nick?s plans after retirement?

The USAPL National Powerlifting Championships in the 125 kg class winner, with many other accolades had a partial retirement. He has decided to continue powerlifting and participating in a few strongman competitions. He won the All-American?Strongman Challenge in 2010,? which is his career’s best win. Even after going through hardships of lat muscle tears, he has never given up.

Nick Best who even beat cancer in 2023 has never stopped lifting weights and even lifted 771 pounds in knee wraps for a single at Dragon?s Lair gym in Las Vegas.
