Bodybuilding legend of yesteryears, Kenneth “Flex” Wheeler has never won a Mr Olympia Competition. Yet he is considered one of the greatest bodybuilders to grace the competitive stage. Moreover, Wheeler won an Arnold Sports Festival 2023 Lifetime Achievement Award, a testament to his hard work and resilience. In his prime, the Sultan of Symmetry even gave tough competition to Ronnie Coleman in the 1990s. Now the multifaceted personality who has seen the ups and downs of life is on a mission to support people to achieve the best versions of their selves.

Earlier, Wheeler took to Instagram to guide people on their quest for health. The Sultan argued that fitness needs “dedication, perseverance, knowledge, and support.” Moreover, Flex offers wisdom and guidance to individuals who want to tread the hard path.

Taking to Instagram, the 4x Arnold Classic Winner advertised Flex Wheeler Coaching and Flex Wheeler Nutrition, promising to aid people in their body transformation journey. In the post, he added a throwback picture of his competitive days, when the Sultan was at his aesthetic best. The photograph reflected the old-world charm of the 1990s, with every muscle forming a symmetrical union, as if sculpted by angles. 

The 5-time Ironman Pro winner wrote in the caption, ” We can’t be young and youthful forever. But we can be healthy and strong within reason forever.” Furthermore, he highlighted that fitness is a “lifestyle” and netizens have to “consciously” make healthy choices. The aesthetic fitness expert’s sincere admission that youthfulness is fleeting, while health is perpetual if worked upon, is a lesson for many.

Additionally, the strength athlete said, “If you have the dedication and the perseverance, then I can guarantee you 100% results. I’ve held people from all walks of life, professional athletes, actors, soccer moms, and would-be can Warriors. I can get you into the best shape of your life.” Also, underscoring that “health is wealth,” the ex-police officer implores people to focus on their well-being. The France Grand Prix winner would know the importance of health, as he has battled multiple health challenges that prevented Wheeler from becoming the undisputed champion. 

Wheeler is on medication for his health troubles

The Sultan of Symmetry was in a horrible car accident that would have left him paralyzed. Moreover, he was also battling a kidney disease called- Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis. Although the veteran bodybuilder had a successful kidney transplant, his leg had to be amputated in surgery. However, the resilient champion did not get bogged down by the challenges. He is very open about his struggles. Recently, Wheeler revealed his medical regime in an Instagram post.

He wrote, “Let’s take a second and be real with each other. A lot of people have to take medication. Me myself, I have to take anti-rejection medication and medication for my blood pressure.” The 57-year-old pro further added, “I do it. There’s no reason why you can’t do it.” Furthermore, the fitness coach divulged the mind-boggling number of medicines he was on. “I literally take probably like 12 medications twice a day,” revealed Wheeler.
