Sergio Oliva Jr., the son of 3x Mr. Olympia is going through tough times as he is mourning the loss of his beloved pet, Khaleesi, a 12-year-old dog.

The bodybuilding icon paid an emotional tribute to his dog, who has been a source of warmth during his tough times on his official Instagram channel. Netizens were devastated by the sad update as the chat session filled with condolences.

It is not unknown to mankind that dogs are the most loyal partners of humans, and Khaleesi is yet another reflection of this life’s truth. She accompanied Sergio Oliva Jr. for the past 12 years and never left his side despite the odds. While celebrating his dog’s 12th birthday in April, Oliva Jr. recalled how he was struggling with bills 11 years ago and was on a constant shuffle. He credited Khaleesi by stating, “This girl been through it all!” 

But their journey together came to an end a month ago as he lost his loving pet for an unknown reason. “My dog Khaleesi passed away here in dubai and none of the Vets really could tell me what was wrong with her the weeks leading to it,” he wrote in his post with a heavy heart. The video he shared in the post depicts the deep bond between the two as Khaleesi was a constant travel partner to Oliva Jr. She ran into his gym, celebrated Halloween with him, and waited at airports. 

Describing canine friend had, Oliva Jr. recounted how Khaleesi was roommates with bodybuilding icons like Chris Cormier and Tom Platz. “She traveled all over the world and had a great spoiled life,” he wrote about his dog. He posted the news after receiving messages from his concerned fans about his absence on social media. The bodybuilding was upset with the loss of Oliva Jr. and displayed their love in the comment section.

Condolence messages pour in for Khaleesi

Coping with the loss of a dog is never easy, and Oliva Jr. is also suffering to accommodate the new normal. A devastated fan wrote, “I’m so sorry to hear this Serg. I cannot begin to fathom the pain you’re experiencing. A dog isn’t just “a dog” a dog is a family member.” However, witnessing the clips of their partnership, a user commented, “Im sure she had wonderful life by yourside.”

Another user resonated with the loss and commented, “RIP! I’m all to familiar with this situation, I hope your okay!” Sharing a personal note, a dog lover wrote, “Sorry for your loss.
