The 2023 Classic Physique Olympia champion, Chris Bumstead, is taking some well-deserved time off. After winning the Classic Physique title five times consecutively, Bumstead is taking his time to experience new things. Besides getting a hair transplant and awaiting the arrival of his first child, Bumstead is also spending time with “like-minded individuals.”

The modern-day bodybuilding icon’s latest Instagram post chronicles a day spent with people who inspire the champion. Cbum wrote about his gratitude for the company of driven individuals who push him toward success.

Chris Bumstead has come a long way

The 28-year-old Canadian bodybuilder posted a series of images on Instagram. Reminiscing on his journey as the undisputed champion of the Classic Physique division, CBum expressed his gratitude for meeting equally ambitious people. “I am most grateful for these past few years are the people I have had the privilege to meet,” wrote the reigning king of Classic Physique.

Cbum spoke about following his passion to become a competitive bodybuilder and how it attracted people who also chose to follow theirs. However, Bumstead had the privilege of meeting people who are among the best at what they do. Bumstead posted photographs of a day out at the range with entrepreneurs DJ Shipley, Davis McMillen, Domenic Iacovone, and more.

The bodybuilding icon with nearly 25 million social media followers said he has “immense respect,” for these individuals. Cbum said besides being successful, they are among those “who are able to become a better person and build meaningful relationships along the way.” Chris Bumstead also explained that the people who appeared in the post have taught him the most. The humble champion is always grateful to those who have helped him.

Gratitude in victory or defeat

Chris Bumstead has earned the love of millions by displaying gratitude toward everyone who contributed to his success. Even after winning the Classix Physique title multiple times, the 28-year-old thanked everyone from his coach to fans for his continued success. Standing on the 2023 Mr. Olympia stage, Bumstead explained how the people closest to him helped him succeed this year.

The reigning champion explained he had torn his lat during prep and nearly quit. However, the support he received from his coach, fiance, family, and closest friends spurred him to persevere. The bodybuilder thanked them for helping him overcome the injury. Whether it’s during his darkest hour or when he is basking in success, Chris Bumstead never forgets the individuals who inspire him to “Set the standard.”
