Son of bodybuilding legend, Lee Labrada made waves when he followed in the footsteps of his father. While he has consistently finished in the top 10 at the Mr. Olympia, in 2021, he cracked the top five. Hence, when Labrada dropped to 7th place in 2022, he and his fans were disappointed. However, the bodybuilder went back to square one and began an extended off-season to address his shortcomings.
From revamping his training regimen to fixing his diet, the open bodybuilder made several improvements. Those improvements were on full display at the 2023 Tampa Pro. Labrada dominated the show and cruised to a first-place finish, earning his spot on the 2023 Mr. Olympia lineup. The bodybuilding world, including his rivals, seemed immensely impressed with the bodybuilder.

2022 wasn’t the best year for Lee Labrada’s son. After a promising result in 2021, Hunter Labrada looked to improve further. However, talented newcomers like Andrew Jacked, Samson Dauda, and others stole the show last year. Besides stiff competition, the 31-year-old had difficult prep and wasn’t in his best shape on the Olympia stage.
Labrada also developed a habit of blending up his meals and essentially drank his calories. However, after the disastrous showing, the Olympia contender skipped the 2023 Arnold Classic and worked on his physique. He also fixed his diet and started eating whole food. While the 31-year-old’s recent updates hinted at his improvements, they were on full display on the Tampa Pro stage.
