Mike O?Hearn belonged to a family of bodybuilders and powerlifters. Being the youngest out of ten siblings, the fitness influencer took to training at the age of nine to protect himself from his playful brother and sisters. Over the years, through hard work, Hearn built a name for himself and he is still going strong.?The 54-year-old American bodybuilder recently posted a question-and-answer session video on social media. He shared his experience on various topics, including diet and fitness with his followers.?

Earlier, the Titan posted an hour-long Q&A session on his YouTube channel. The powerlifter tackled many questions from fans. An interesting query from a thirteen-year-old boy stood out. The young adolescent on the threshold of bodybuilding asked the fitness influencer on Instagram, “Do you have any tips for a 13-year-old who’s trying to grow muscle?”?

Mike, giving an example from his own childhood, had an insightful response. He said,?“….so at 13, that nutrition is the ultimate, ultimate task at hand right now, relative to I know that you might think that weight lifting should .…” The American Gladiator is famous for his weight-intensive exercises. One would think O?Hearn would say intensive training is the key to growing muscles. But he stumped people with his answers. Despite winning the California Powerlifting title 4 times along with his Ironman and Judo championships, Hearn stresses diet.

He further revealed, “This is what helped me from 13 to 15 to get to 15, I was 272 and it was the nutrition that got me there….” The fitness model went on to explain that although thirty other guys were training alongside him, none of them experienced the same level of size gain because they didn’t prioritize nutrition. The age-appropriate guidance he provides will aid the younger generation in transitioning to bodybuilding. Being highly active on social media, the 4x Mr. Universe teaches his followers the correct exercise techniques.

The Gladiator talks about four essential steps to keep in mind

O?Hearn shared a workout plan for teenagers based on his four decades of experience in powerlifting and?bodybuilding. The “Baby Don’t Hurt Me”?star said, “Squat, deadlift, lift heavy, and a full range of motion,? are four important checkpoints for any young adult. Through these four methods, a fitness enthusiast can improve his stamina and longevity in the gym.?

In the same social media post, Hearn highlighted the importance of ligament training?in workouts for the older generation. Strong ligaments act as a cushion for the joints, increasing flexibility and protecting the older generation from injury.
