Dorian Yates is the earliest bodybuilder who represented the term mass monster aptly. With the High-Intensity training method, the English bodybuilder was able to pull off a physique that was often referred to as ‘granite hardness’. The 61-year-old now revealed his secret to such a massive back.

In a recent Instagram post, the 6x Mr. Olympia posted a throwback video of him mentoring the IFBB Pro bodybuilder Marc Lobliner to ace a back workout. And both the bodybuilders are not going light on intensity this time.

The video reflected Yates correcting the posture of the IFBB Pro bodybuilder while doing close grip pull-downs. He later seats himself for some reps on the machine. “Pulldowns with @marclobliner!” he captioned the post.

The Shadow revealed that they had an exhausting lats session with the classic Nautilus Pullover Machine earlier. “1-2 warm-up sets to get the mind-muscle connection fired up and then on to the final, all-out set to failure,” mentioned the retired bodybuilder referring to the pulldowns.

He could be seen assisting Lobliner while the latter grunts to finish his reps. “That’s how it is done!” he remarked at the end of the video after a ‘slow controlled negative‘. Yates’s workout regime during his prime is even more intense. And when he appeared on stage for Mr.Olympia, his bodybuilding competitors were left stunned.
