Max Taylor, the TikTok star, who is famous, not only for sharing his knowledge of staying fit but is also widely acclaimed for his amazingly sculpted physique, recently took to his official Instagram account @maxtaylorlifts and shared a throwback picture of Mike Mentzer on his story.

In the picture, the legendary Bodybuilder was seen flexing his super jacked physique from top to toe and the picture even hinted at the absolute golden days of bodybuilding due to its black and white edit. In the picture, Max Taylor wrote, “GOALS” and the one word was enough to convey his message.

What inspired Mike Mentzer to come up with HIT?

When Mike Mentzer embarked on his fitness journey, he had just one goal – to become a lookalike of the 5X Mr. Universe Bill Pearl. In order to achieve his goal, he turned to fitness magazines in order to gain insights into how to have such a massive transformation. Now, the problem was that all the magazines he turned to had mostly high-volume and high-frequency training programs.

According to Mentzer, those training programs completely ignored the factors of genetic and chemical advantages that some elite bodybuilders have. It was then that he discovered High-Intensity Training and started preaching it religiously and well. The rest, as you know it, is history.
