The sport of bodybuilding is not for the faint-hearted. Lifters and bodybuilders often experience a lot of pain and injuries while competing or while training. One of the most common pain that most lifters feel is an irritating pain in their shoulders. The main reason behind pain in rotator cuffs is due to not using perfect form and rounding the shoulders while not arching the back properly. 

Hollywood icon Mike O’Hearn has been in the realm of fitness and bodybuilding for decades now. One thing that Mike preaches the most is to aim and train for longevity. In his recent YouTube video, he shared with his subscribers the reason behind the pain in rotator cuffs while training. He also provided a solution for the age-old problem. 

Mike O’Hearn comes to the rescue

‘Titan’ has been training since his teenage years and has an experience of several decades under his belt now. Going through multiple injuries and rehabilitations over the years, O’Hearn has now learned from his mistakes. In his recent video where he trained with a bunch of his friends, he emphasized the importance of warming up and stretching before starting weight training.

O’Hearn stated, “You’re risking extreme pain. I don’t care about the body, I care about the mind…instead of doing three/four sets, body warms up, feels better in it, and then he does it, then you don’t be…you don’t mess with your mind.”

Continuing further, while benching, O’Hearn also gave a few more tips. ‘Titan’ suggested his friend keep his head up a little, and touch the bar to his double chin for the most gains. He suggested looking at the lift as an exercise that emphasizes on the stretch and not the press. “It’s more of a stretch instead of a press.”
