Recently, he underscored the importance of grip strength and revealed a secret to enhance it. While the majority of people often prefer to gain more muscles and mass, O’Hearn seems to have a different approach to staying in the best shape the entire life.

Mike O’Hearn wants gymgoers to focus on their hand strength

In a recent video uploaded by Mike O’Hearn’s YouTube channel, the four-times Mr. Universe winner was seen performing the inclined bench T-bar to boost grip strength. This exercise comes with various benefits, such as upper chest development, stimulating muscles, etc. It is a back exercise that often helps bodybuilders attain a ripped and meticulous back. O’Hearn stressed how important hand strength was for him, saying that, “Muscles come and go, get that man strength like this guy,” he pointed at someone working out with him. According to O’Hearn, “It’s little things” that mattered the most.

One can only lift more weights if they have stronger arms. Hence, O’Hearn’s focus on hand strength. He said, “I want the hand strength so besides getting a stronger back and healthy shoulders and elbows and wrists.” The bodybuilding great further suggested that his fans aim for a functional body with good mobility.

As he never compromises with his training, O’Hearn had once shared his Wednesday routine with fans along with a valuable life suggestion that can bring change in one’s life. He believes that one should have a good mindset before aiming and achieving things. One should not let others devalue them.

Mike O’Hearn valuable advice to his fans 

In a video on his official YouTube channel, O’Hearn divulged his weekday workout details. In his training even on a Wednesday, there were a few exercises indeed! “Deads, back, bend overs, pull-ups, weighted, hypers workout, cardio, diet,” the bodybuilder detailed his routine.

However, he did not stop there. Advising his fans, O’Hearn suggested that one should not let others slow them down, “even for a second”. He then implored everyone to stick to their plans, no matter how hard it seemed. Fans were in awe of both O’Hearn’s weekday routine and his life advice. Many of them went on to praise the icon, with one even going on to wish for “the same longevity (that O’Hearn had) down the line.”
