Mr. Olympia 2022 champion Hadi ‘The Persian Wolf’ Choopan has a fiercely loyal following. After his reign came to a controversial end at the 2023 edition of the Mr. Olympia, Choopans’s fans flooded the internet with their grievances. However, now that the Iranian bodybuilding icon has announced he’ll participate in the Arnold Classic 2024, the fans are once again rallying behind him.

The hype for the 2024 edition of the second most prestigious bodybuilding competition has started building. The Arnold Sports Festival announced a stacked line-up of competitors according to the board. However, Hadi Choopan’s inclusion was a huge surprise. With ten weeks left until the bodybuilding community turns their attention to Ohio, the bodybuilding champion, impressed everyone with his latest physique update.

In his latest update, the bodybuilding veteran showed off his current physique before the prep intensified. The Persian Wolf faced the camera and hit the mandatory front relaxed pose. The most noticeable part of the video was when Choopan flared his lats. The short update showcased the IFBB Pro’s symmetry, muscularity, and conditioning.

The 36-year-old former champion caused quite the controversy when he walked off before things wrapped up at this year’s Mr. Olympia. Choopan later apologized and promised fans he would do better. However, no one expected the former champion to make good on his promise so soon and compete in the Arnold Classic.

Besides being the 36-year-old’s first Arnold Classic appearance, the upcoming event in Ohio also marks the first time the bodybuilding icon will compete in a contest that’s not the Mr. Olympia. However, even before 2024 has arrived, most fans have arrived at a conclusion.

The comment section of the Arnold Sports Festival post that shared Choopan’s update was filled with fans who believe the Persian Wolf will emerge victorious. “New champion Hadi Choopan,” said one fan. “And your Arnold Classic champion!” said another. “Champ. Mr. Olympia and 1x Arnold Classic (champion),” proclaimed a third fan.

“Number one in the Arnold Classic,” wrote one fan, hinting that defending champion Samson Dauda stands no chance in Ohio. However, some fans are still not over how the former champion conducted himself at the Mr. Olympia 2023. “Looks great but there’s something shouldn’t do, (which) is walk out off the stage. You insulted everybody in the industry,” one fan commented.
