Sporting monstrous arms talks volumes on the bodybuilding stage. However, building them requires more than just lifting weights. And who can guide them better than the legendary coach who has 22 Olympias titles to his name across categories? Hany Rambod recently revealed an important tip for developing huge-round arms by bringing some changes in the exercises.

The Pro Creator recently shared a short video on his YouTube channel wherein Rambod revealed his favorite exercise and the science behind it to train his biceps and develop the overall shape of his arms.

Spider curls are a variation of the traditional bicep curl, where the arms are taken far away from the body with the help of an inclined seat and the weight is lifted towards the forehead. According to The Pro Creator, this exercise puts a lot of emphasis on the biceps, as it isolates the muscle. “It really makes you focus and not use momentum or swing”, he said.

Rambod also made slight adjustments as he emphasized the importance of slow contractions and relaxation during the spider curl exercise. He believed that this technique will have a significant impact on the overall development of the biceps. By performing slow contractions, the bodybuilders would put more stress on the muscle, which results in greater muscle growth over time.

Additionally, Rambod said that pausing the repetitions during contraction would be a game changer as it will help break the muscles. “If we are doing 5-second pauses at the top, you are going to really really burn more time under tension equals more growth”, he said.  However, this is not the first time when the legendary coach is highlighting some ignored aspects of bodybuilding.

While the popular notion of building muscles revolves around intense workout regimes, Rambod once highlighted the importance of recovery. In an interview on the Evogen Nutrition YouTube channel, the veteran coach opened up about the need for proper sleep to see efficient growth. He said that a person will start losing his gains if they are sleeping less than 7 hours.

“If you start to slip below that, you will find yourself up at night, snacking, grazing when you’re not supposed to,” said the renowned coach. “You’re also not going to be able to get the maximum recovery,” he said.
