In this era of constant scrolling, one can not imagine living without social media for even a single day. The internet has indeed made this world a smaller place by providing us access to the lives of our role models and icons. But it is not just the fans. A four-time Mr. Olympia has social media to thank for meeting the love of his life.

With almost every celebrity and sports person being active on social media, we get all the updates almost instantly. However, these platforms have also evolved over the years. It is no more just a bridge between celebrities and their fans. It often brings even celebrities together.

Jay Cutler thanks Snapchat for meeting his girlfriend

In a recent episode of his podcast, ‘Cutler Cast,’ 4X Mr. Olympia Jay Cutler along with his manager Matt, discussed the evolution of social media over the years. He even admitted how one of these platforms even changed his life as it connected him even more with the love of his life. 

Bodybuilding veteran Jay Cutler remembered how Instagram and other platforms used to just be about posting images. However, over time, the concept of stories was introduced by Instagram. This feature later started advertisements as well in between the stories to generate ad revenue. Cutler feels Snapchat is the platform that has the most advertisements while scrolling between stories. 

How Cutler and Angie Feliciano fell in love

He continued by admitting that it was because of Snapchat that he got close to his current girlfriend, Angie Feliciano.

“I’d have to say I started dating because of Snapchat almost…so Snapchat like came up and said, Hey, would you like to follow this person? And we started following each other, and that was like our first outside communication from the time that we met,” Cutler disclosed.

Snapchat was founded in 2011 by Evan Spiegel, who is the husband of Australian model Miranda Kerr. The couple, which appears to have a lovely family now, also helped others like Cutler who found their love by using Snapchat.

Continuing with his story, Cutler said, “And then she started watching my videos and I had my shirt off all the time. And she was impressed.”
