In the recent edition of his newsletter, Cutler shared staggering suggestions to bring conspicuous improvements to the overall shape of the body, by specifically targeting a few of the areas.

Even after retiring from the sport in 2014, the 49-year-old athlete’s passion for bodybuilding hasn’t drifted. His wisdom is precious for the upcoming generation of athletes, and the star is aware. Therefore, continuing to add value to the domain, he shares the expert tips and pieces of his champion mindset that vaulted him to the top of the sport. This time, per his newsletter, he focused on the “dramatic improvements” of the overall body shape.

Directly getting to the point, Cutler shared the “3 tips” that would help one achieve the most ideal shape. “Build wide capped deltoids” was elucidated as the first point. Thus, workouts relating to it are front raises and side & rear raises, while maintaining a slower tempo. The athlete urged others to focus on the volume of the workout rather than the intensity.

The second tip was to “Bring your outer quads up.” Some added context on the tip iterated that working on improving the narrow stance leg pressing, with enough depth and range of motion, shall build the outer sweep of the quad muscles. In the final tip, Cutler suggested adding width to the V-taper, which will bolster one’s efforts to attain the ideal shape of the body. A pull-up is the best workout for building v-tapers. While encouraging the community to get into their best shape, Cutler himself is prioritizing the same.

Almost a decade after stepping out of bodybuilding, the IFBB pro is working for the best version of himself. He launched a special campaign for himself, ahead of his 50th birthday. The idea was to focus on all aspects of his life, physical or mental, and attain the maximum level of fitness and well-being. It’s called the Fit for 50 Challenge.

Talking about his goals in one of the editions of his newsletter, Cutler revealed that he intends to be in his best shape, regardless of his retirement. He doesn’t want to be the kind of former athlete who lost all his passion after stepping down from the stage. Thus, he stated, “There are not many guys who have won Olympia titles, and still have their health at almost 50, and have the capacity to maintain a great physique into their 50s – I want to be that guy.”
