With the advent of time, the bodybuilding world only keeps expanding its horizons, bringing up the scope for new experiments with food and exercise. The issue lies in the online fitness community, where many athletes confidently provide misleading information. However, this particular video caught the eye of a well-respected bodybuilding icon known for his straightforward approach to fitness and nutrition. Unlike others, he couldn’t let this slide without addressing it.

In a recent Instagram video, Martin Fitzwater expressed his frustration with consuming whole chicken regularly and instead opted to blend three cups of chicken breast into a liquid form. He even suggested to his followers that it’s an “easy” way to consume chicken. However, renowned fitness personality Greg Doucette came across this video, and we all know what happens next!

Martin Fitzwater in his recent Instagram video, talks about how in order to be a Pro Bodybuilder, you must blend chicken and consume it twice a day as it gets easier that way. Doucette takes up the video and says, “No it doesn’t, it’s not easier to blend up 3 cups worth of chicken with water than it is to eat a chicken breast.”

Fitzwater proceeds to detail the process of preparing his chicken blend meal and receives subtle criticism from Doucette at every step. Doucette firmly states that there are superior protein consumption options available in the market. The bodybuilding icon emphasizes, “News flash for you pros, there’s something called protein powder and it’s made specifically to be blended in water. I know you don’t know this because bodybuilders are not always that smart, but hey if you’re not that smart, you can hire a coach.”

Doucette goes on to point out other elite athletes who did the same, resulting only in deterioration. “So I know he’s a pro bodybuilder, and he’s not the only pro bodybuilder doing this. Hunter Labrada also did this. He also went from third to seventh in last year’s Mr. Olympia. So clearly it’s not working.” However, in a recent video, taking to his YouTube Hunter Labrada revealed what he is doing to try to improve his physique.

Hunter Labrada’s attempt at getting better

After his defeat at Mr. Olympia 2022, Labrada focused on improving his digestion and fine-tuning his food choices. His strategy for the competition involved building muscle in specific areas, resulting in his highest weight ever recorded at around 294 pounds, with minimal body fat.
