IFBB Pro Hassan Mostafa is one of the iconic bodybuilders from Egypt who is finding ground at the mega event. The new beast from the Middle East confessed how he overcame a disastrous injury one week out from Mr. Olympia in a recent Instagram post.

The Joe Weider’s Olympia Weekend, 2023, concluded, and while some new champions lifted the Sandow, a few continued their winning streak. But Mr. Olympia is not only about the top athletes. Many new faces and aspiring Mr. Olympias are introduced to the bodybuilding world on the stage of the IFBB’s prestigious event. Hassan Mostafa, the IFBB Pro, is one of them.

Opening up about his resilience to compete, Mostafa shared, “Although I got this triceps tear just over a week ago I managed to step on stage in the best shape of my life,” in a candid post. Mostafa also confessed how it was mentally taxing to have an injury just before the most-awaited Mr. Olympia.

Hopefully it’s a small injury that will heal fast but the timing of it was horrible and it made peak week a lot more stressful,” he mentioned in his post, and he added a picture of his bruised arm due to the Triceps tear. However, the bodybuilding icon from Egypt is progressing in training and hoping to win Mr. Olympia one day. But how do injuries affect the bodybuilding championships?

Bodybuilders train day and night to build a trophy-winning physique. Nick Walker, the fan-favorite bodybuilder of the Men’s Open, decided to quit the show at the end because of a hamstring tear. Showing his bruised quads, Nick Walker said, “I tried to push through it. I tried to do whatever I could get all the treatment that I could,” in an emotional Instagram video

So, he quit the 2023 Mr. Olympia and said, “There was just no shot of us placing top three at this point,” disappointing fansCBum also revealed how he suffered a bicep tear two days ahead of Mr. Olympia and a lat tear ten weeks out from this year’s Mr. Olympia.
