Yesterday, Wawrin posted a reel on his Instagram account about Hall’s 2016 deadlift. He started the video by saying, “How did Eddie Hall almost die attempting his world record deadlift?” Then talked about the whole incident, “The Beast, Eddie Hall was deadlifting in Europe’s strongest man in 2016. At that time, he was 28 years old and was attempting a 500 KG or 1,102 LB deadlift.”

Wawrin also stated that a scientist had told Eddie that the lift was humanly impossible and that he could die. Hall apparently had adopted the “fight-or-flight mindset.” ‘The Beast’ successfully attempted the weightlift but burst his head nerves after winning the world record that caused blood to come out of his eyes. Wawrin further in the reel, stated that, “Blood was rushing out of his eyes, ears, and nose.”

Eddie thought of his kids
In the video by Luke, he mentioned that “he used a scenario in a car is crushing a kid, and her mom can pick up the vehicle. He used that scenario, and in his head, he thought a car was on his kid as he was walking up to the bar on stage.”
The strongman broke the world record with his determination, but he also lost vision for some time after completing the deadlift. His blood pressure took 2 to 3 hours to stabilize. Hall fully recovered after two weeks of the competition.
