According to the 2022 interview, the 39-year-old star’s transformation astounded even film director Waititi.?“It’s crazy how big Chris got for this,”?the New Zealand filmmaker said. He claimed that the actor?s arms were twice as big and wider than Waitit’s head itself. Thus, explaining his regime, Hemsworth shared that it was a result of his restlessness during the pandemic.

He survived the pandemic years with his wife, Elsa, and their three kids, all under ten years of age.?”It came from boredom, sitting in COVID lockdown was like a prison,”?the Australian actor said. However, the downside of his bulking up was his wife?s and many female friends? reactions to it. Hemsworth admitted?in the interview with?USA Today,?“My wife was like, Bleh, it’s too much. There are a lot of my male friends who are like, Yeah! but a lot of female friends and family are like Yuck.”

The 6?3 actor?s regime involved “train, eat, train, eat” which resulted in the biggest version of Thor ever. Regular swimming, martial arts, weights, and 6,000 calories transformed him to look like the Asgardian God he was set to play. However, further into the interview, the actor claimed that he was not doing it again for the upcoming Thor 5.

Why is Chris Hemsworth not willing to be his biggest version anymore?

While it is extremely eye-catching to appear in such a heavily conditioned frame, it is a lot of work. As the actor explained, “It was one thing to train and eat that much and then sleep all day. Doing this and then a 12-hour set day was something different.”?It is evidently not feasible to maintain a peak physique for the entire duration of the movie.
